Anubis using his energy blast
Anubis, the Egyptian god of the dead, is found in the Swirling Sands dungeon on floor 62. He is found at the heart of the dungeon's temple along with Pluto, Roman god of the underworld.
He drops the Reaper's Claw. It is wielded by Layla.
Appearance[]
Being an Egyptian, Anubis has the head of a jackal and the body of a man. His body is a grayish white, bulging with muscles. On his head is a typical Egyptian headdress. He wears a small metal chest piece with a sea blue pearl embedded into it. He wears on his arms golden bicep braces along with golden vambraces. For his lower body, Anubis wears black shorts and a golden battle robes. Finally, he wears papyrus colored capes and wields a mage's staff.
Background[]
The Guardians met this boss along with Pluto at the heart of the Swirling Sands temple. He was the first boss to be taken down. However, before he was defeated, he had struck down Yumi, Kana and Histrio. Angered by this, Sho had killed the boss all by himself.
Abilities[]
Being the god of the dead, Anubis has the ability to call up ancient Egyptian zombies. He can randomly spawn mobs at the strangest of locations. Anubis can also shoot blasts of energy from his hands. With his staff, he can also do hand to hand combat. While not very skilled in terms of attack, he can pester foes with blunt blows. His ultimate ability allows him to summon a locust swarm. Hundreds of these little bugs attack a player and deal damage over time. Not only do the locusts blind a person's vision, they also attach on to legs and weigh that person down.
